When I started this quilt, I had no idea how it was going to look finished. I had a large bag of scraps, a lot of time, no quilts on order, and I wanted to keep my hands busy. Lots of us are like that, having to keep hands busy.
So I got to work: mixing and matching, coordinating, contrasting, texture, theme, density of color, shades.
And what I ended up with reminded me of beads my aunt and uncle brought back from Morocco 45 years ago. They were called
Goulimine beads, I didn't know they were actually made in Europe, I'm sure Aunty and Unk didn't either. I still have them, and cherish them.
So when this quilt was nearing completion, I realized it reminded me of the beautiful beads.
And thus, Glass Beads was born, and finished.
It is hand quilted, queen sized, and for sale
